Guide 15 first impressions
Out of the box, the Guide 15 boasts a structured and modern design with a thick rubber outsole that immediately catches the eye. Holding the shoe in my hand, it felt well-crafted and incredibly lightweight. I was struck and excited by how lightweight this shoe felt in comparison to all the other stability shoes I have had in the past. The midsole felt very cushioned and springy. The overall shape and design create a sense of stability and comfort for the performance it’s about to deliver. It was impossible not to miss the thickness of the outer rubber sole panel, but we’ll delve into that in more detail later. Slip on the Guide 15, and you’ll immediately feel the comfort and support of the engineered mesh upper and springy heel; it hugs your foot and felt like nothing I had tried on before. I was excited to try it out!

During my first 4-mile run on the paths around my local park wearing the Guide 15s, I couldn’t help but notice how lightweight and bouncy they were compared to my previous stability shoes. They were brilliant in supporting my overpronation and got rid of all the normal inner foot pain that I usually experience. The PWRRUN technology definitely lived up to its promise of providing a smooth and responsive ride, which was a pleasant surprise for a shoe with so much cushioning. It quickly became apparent that I was now experiencing the benefits of a more lightweight shoe. They provided a delightful newfound springiness to my every stride, which was a revelation to me for a stability shoe.

The updated shape and handcrafted feel deliver a sleek and secure profile that is faster and more dynamic than before. The upper incorporates enhanced, wider mesh perforations that allow a continuous flow of cool air throughout the shoe, ensuring you remain cool, dry, and comfortable at all times. Further enhancing the upper are engineered 3D overlays that offer strategic flexibility and reinforce the shoe’s structure. These printed overlays are crafted to promote a natural running motion by allowing the upper to flex precisely where needed, ensuring limitless flexibility without sacrificing support.
