Run Your Best Race with Coach the Run

Welcome to Run Your Best Race by Coach the Run. These terms and conditions outline the rules and regulations for using our online coaching services.

These terms and conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United Kingdom. Any disputes arising out of or in connection with these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

1 – Service Overview

One-to-one running coaching with Mike Gratton

  • Initial Consultation: A one-hour online Zoom call with Mike Gratton to discuss your running goals, upcoming events, past running experience, and any injuries. All video calls are held in English, and the training materials are also provided in English.
  • Tailored Training Plan: Based on your initial consultation, you will receive a personalised training plan for either a 12-week or 18-week training block, in a PDF format.
  • Ongoing Support: You can ask Mike Gratton unlimited private questions throughout your training block, via our messaging portal. All messages are confidential.
  • Extra Video Call Support: You can request up to 3 extra video calls with our coach Mike, during your training block, to discuss any questions you may have about your training progress.
  • Community Access: Gain access to a private community on Strava, to engage with other members of the Coach the Run community.
  • Language: All video calls are conducted in English
  • Age restriction: We only offer coaching to runners of 18+ 

2 – Payment Terms

  • Payment is required upon subscription sign-up. By subscribing, you agree to pay the subscription fees associated with your plan. Payments are securely processed through Stripe UK.

3 – Cancellation and Refund Policy

  • Cancellation: You may cancel your subscription within five days of signing up for the service if you have not yet had your one-hour video call with Mike Gratton.
  • Refund: No refunds will be issued after the initial consultation.
  • Training Interruptions: We will make every effort to reset the training plan and work with clients who need to interrupt their training due to injury or illness. However, we cannot guarantee an extended training period, as interruptions can vary.

4 – Membership Access

  • 12-Week Membership: Access to your personalised coaching portal for 16 weeks at the price of £180
  • 18-Week Membership: Access to your personalised coaching portal for 20 weeks at the price of £250.
  • It is assumed that you will begin your training plan promptly and follow it to achieve your goals within the set timeframe.

5 – Legal Compliance

  • GDPR Compliance: We adhere to GDPR regulations to ensure your personal data is protected and handled responsibly.

6 – Disclaimers

Medical Disclaimer

  • We strongly recommend consulting with your physician before starting any training plan.
  • You should be in good physical condition to commence training.
  • We are not licensed medical care providers and do not have expertise in diagnosing, examining, or treating medical conditions or determining the effect of any specific exercise on a medical condition.
  • Participating in any exercise or training plan carries the risk of physical injury. By following Coach the Run training plans, you agree to do so at your own risk and release Coach the Run from any claims or causes of action arising from your participation.
  • Coach the Run is not responsible for a client’s failure to obtain medical clearance before subscribing to or using our coaching services and products. Additionally, we are not liable for a client’s failure to fully disclose any fitness or medical risks and conditions relevant to their participation in physical activities, including the use of our coaching services and products.

Personal Disclaimer

  • The information provided on our website, social media posts, blog, e-mails, training plans, helpdesk, and/or products is for training and informational purposes only.
  • We support you exclusively in our roles as coaches and are not medical health practitioners or mental health providers.
  • You take full responsibility for your health, life, and well-being, as well as the health, lives, and well-being of your family and children.
  • While we strive to present accurate, up-to-date information, the nature of the sport and fitness industry means that research is constantly evolving, and we cannot be held responsible for the accuracy of our content.

Race Result Disclaimer

  • We make every effort to represent Coach the Run training plans accurately and their potential for results.
  • We cannot guarantee your future results and/or success, as results differ for each individual based on various factors including capacity, experience, health, genetic profile, starting point, expertise, and level of commitment.

7 – Our conduct during the membership period

  • Professionalism: As your coaches, we commit to maintaining the highest professional standards in our interactions with you and delivering a premium service that aligns with your fitness goals.
  • Communication: We aim to respond to your queries within 48 hours during business days and maintain clear, consistent communication throughout your training plan.
  • Confidentiality: Your personal information, including health details and performance data, will be kept strictly confidential and used solely for the purposes of your coaching programme, in accordance with our privacy policy.
  • Feedback and Progress: We will provide regular feedback on your progress and make necessary adjustments to your training plan based on your performance and feedback.

8 – User conduct during the membership period

Respectful Engagement:

Participants are expected to engage respectfully with both Coach the Run staff and fellow community members. Any form of harassment, discrimination, or inappropriate behaviour will not be tolerated.

Honesty:

Clients must provide accurate information about their health, fitness levels, and any conditions that might affect their training. Misrepresentation can lead to inappropriate training recommendations, which might pose health risks.

Compliance with Guidance:

It is crucial to follow the training plan and instructions provided by your coach. Deviations without consultation could impact your progress and safety.

9 – Complaints

  • Procedure: If you have any complaints or concerns during your membership period, please address them promptly by contacting info@coachtherun.com. We are committed to resolving issues professionally and efficiently.
  • Resolution Timeframe: We aim to acknowledge receipt of your complaint within 24 hours and provide a resolution or a clear action plan within seven business days.

10 – Amendments to Terms and Conditions

We reserve the right to amend these terms and conditions at any time. Significant changes will be communicated to all subscribers via email and our membership portal. Regularly reviewing the terms and conditions ensures you are aware of any updates.
